SUP rental terms

1. Rental operator

Skanda Surf rental is operated by BI Consulting sp. z o.o., with its registered office at ul. Trylińskiego 2, Olsztyn, Poland, tax identification number (NIP): 7393979101, referred to below as the “Rental Operator”.

These terms set out the rules for renting SUP boards and equipment. Booking, payment and collection of the equipment constitute a rental agreement and acceptance of these terms.

2. Who may rent a SUP

Only an adult may rent equipment. A child or other minor may not independently enter into the rental agreement or collect the equipment.

An adult renter may allow a minor to use the board. In that case, the adult remains the party to the agreement, is responsible for the equipment, must choose conditions appropriate to the child’s ability, and must provide direct and suitable supervision.

A minor must wear a correctly fitted buoyancy aid. The Rental Operator may refuse to release the equipment if the planned use presents an obvious danger.

3. Booking and equipment handover

A booking can be requested through the form that prepares a WhatsApp or SMS message. The date becomes binding once availability is confirmed by the Rental Operator.

A separate handover and return report is not required for standard SUP rental. By collecting the equipment, the renter confirms receipt of the agreed setup and that there are no visible objections to its condition. Any concerns must be reported before use begins.

The Rental Operator may ask to see an identity document and may require an agreed deposit when a larger number of boards is rented, the equipment is taken away, or in other justified circumstances.

4. Safety on the water

SUP is a water activity involving risks including falls, hypothermia, injury, drifting away from shore and sudden weather changes. The renter uses the equipment voluntarily, at their own risk and according to their abilities.

No rescue service or continuous on-water supervision is provided at the equipment collection point. The renter independently assesses their ability, health, weather and water conditions.

Using the equipment under the influence of alcohol or drugs, during a storm, after dark, in conditions beyond the user’s ability or in a way that endangers others is prohibited. Anyone who is not a confident swimmer should wear a buoyancy aid at all times.

5. Responsibility for equipment

The renter is responsible for the setup from collection until return, including when it is used by a child, family member or another person.

The equipment must be returned complete, at the agreed place and time. The renter covers documented repair or replacement costs for damage resulting from improper use, loss of components or violation of these terms. This does not include normal wear resulting from proper use.

6. Cancellation and ending the rental

The Rental Operator may refuse to release the equipment or may end the rental when required by weather, water conditions, user safety or a violation of these terms. Rescheduling or any refund is agreed according to the reason and the stage of the booking.

7. Final provisions

These terms do not exclude or limit the Rental Operator’s liability to the extent that such exclusion or limitation is not permitted by applicable law.

Any disputes will be resolved by the court having jurisdiction under applicable law. The processing of personal data is described in the Privacy policy.
